(SMCI), a Southern California based IT staffing provider, today announced the acquisition of Partners in Business Systems Inc., a Danville California-based firm that provides business and I.T. subject-matter expertise consulting throughout the San Francisco Bay Area.
Effective September 1st, Partners in Business Systems became a division of SMCI. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. During the past year, SMCI has invested in training and development for current and future employees, increased top talent hiring, and expanded its service offerings and locations.
“Identifying sharp, motivated people who are passionate about providing the services our clients require to fulfill their long-term goals has always been paramount to our success,” says Spencer Karpf, President of SMCI. “The timing is right to further strengthen our ability to engage top quality IT professionals throughout the San Francisco Bay area via this acquisition of Partner in Business Systems,” Karpf continued.
“Their demonstrated leadership has made Partners in Business Systems a reliable subject matter expertise consulting partner to major clients throughout the Bay Area and their professionalism, integrity and quality orientation is a good match to SMCI’s own culture”, Karpf continued. “We welcome the expertise and continued involvement of Jan Cooper, founder, president and CEO of Partners as she supports this transition and of D’Arcy Tomlinson, Senior Managing Partner at Partners who will assume the newly created role of Director of Business Development in SMCI’s new Partners in Business Systems Division.”
